By adding just one extra place setting to the digital dinner table, Save the Children can provide an entire family with food for a week. For the campaign video 'Add a Place Setting', we created a commercial and a 2D animation video.

Save the Children works globally for the wellbeing of children. Including help against malnutrition. With the fundraising campaign 'Add a Place Setting', the Dutch public is called upon to add a place setting to the digital dinner table. With just one place setting, an entire family can be provided with food for a week.
The online campaign ultimately resulted in over 12.000 place settings being added. Additionally, more than 25.000 place settings were collected offline as well.


Real stories
In Save the Children's campaign video 'Add a Place Setting', children and adults speak out who have previously experienced what it is like to have little or no food available to them. These personal experiences highlight why they are keen to add a place setting and for whom. After all, for many people it is not a given that they can sit down at a table for a nutritious meal.

An explanatory animation in Save the Children's own house style
Completely in its own house style the explanatory animation explains to viewers in 40 seconds what their mission is. With all donations, families from areas where food shortages exist or conflicts limit food supply are provided with food parcels. Additionally, they ensure that malnourished children receive treatment and provide information on, for example, the importance of breastfeeding and eating varied and nutritious food.
