Mixed Reality (MR) is a technology that combines the real world and the virtual world. Physical and digital elements are seamlessly integrated, allowing users to experience an environment in which they can both see real objects around them and interact with digital objects.

With an MR headset such as the Apple Vision Pro or the Meta Quest 3 users can scan their surroundings and project digital objects that are then interactive with both the physical environment and other digital objects. Because your hands remain free whilst wearing an MR headset, you can continue to interact. Mixed Reality therefore has significant overlap with AR en VR.
