The situation

Wood & Washi went through a transition in marketing. Investments were made in realizing the company's international ambitions. With a dealer network spread across various locations, the dealers are responsible for the correct installation of the products. However, Wood & Washi noticed that the installation does not always go smoothly. Wood & Washi therefore engaged Phil & Flo for a series of animations that provide a crystal-clear explanation of the installation of the products, in a style that suits this premium product.

Our solution

We have developed a series of 7 instructional animations for Wood & Washi. With the right camera movements, we created 3D animations with a professional, premium look, yet with a light-hearted character. These animations are combined with catchy graphics, all in a unique style that perfectly matches Wood & Washi's wishes and blows away the competition.

The result

The decor of the instructional films is based on the (then future) showroom. This beautiful virtual space is clean, uncluttered and radiates naturalness in Japanese style. Using a photorealistic approach for instructional purposes, we made photo scans of any parts that were difficult to animate, such as mounting systems and profiles, while creating 3D models of the simpler, larger parts such as sleeves. This created a stunning whole that optimally supports the installers of Wood & Washi in their work.
