What is royalty-free music?

Royalty-free music is music that you can play without having to pay royalties to an artist, producer or author. This is not the case when you get a popular song from YouTube or Spotify and incorporate it into your video or animation .

When you buy a film or animation, the music is almost always royalty-free. This means that the license for this music has already been paid and that you can therefore make unlimited use of it. This music is often written by (semi-)professional artists specifically for these commercial purposes. A very nice alternative to popular and expensive pop music.
