Everything you need to know about Adobe Turntable

What is Adobe  Turntable ?

Adobe Turntable is a new feature in Adobe Illustrator that helps you view illustrations from different angles. Normally, drawings in Illustrator are flat and only viewable from one side. With Turntable, you can rotate the drawing as if it were a three-dimensional object. This allows you to see new perspectives without any extra work. This technique is also well-suited for 2D animation , as you can more quickly create different views that can later be used in a moving design.

How does Adobe  Turntable ?

The feature uses artificial intelligence, better known as AI. When you rotate an illustration, the software automatically fills in the parts that aren't normally visible. Imagine drawing a car from the front. With Turntable, you can rotate it and also see the side or back. Missing details are intelligently filled in, so it looks like you drew those parts yourself. The illustration remains a simple illustration file , so you don't lose any quality and everything remains editable.

Why is Adobe  Turntable useful ?

Turntable saves a lot of time. Where you used to have to create multiple drawings to show different angles, now you only need to create a single drawing. The software does the rest for you. This means you have more time for the creative process and less time spent on repetitive work. It also gives you more freedom to quickly try out new ideas, because your drawing is immediately visible from different perspectives.

When will Adobe  Turntable available?

Adobe first showcased Turntable at Adobe MAX in 2024. The feature is now available in the Illustrator trial version, which is available to everyone. Anyone using this trial can try Turntable right away. Adobe encourages users to share their experiences so the feature can continue to be improved.
